Re: Dear Members

Meido, I'm really sorry to hear you won't be around. You'll be sorely missed. Thanks for all your contributions to this forum. Gassho, Maria Hi Folks, Dan beat me to it, but he's correct. Re: Dear Members

I hope this doesn't mean no Zen teacher will be allowed to participate in any way. If so, it seems unfair. Will they be allowed to post events and such? I agree with James, teachers should at least be allowed to participate on an equal footing with everyone else.

Re: photographs you have made.

I think it's already the New Year in Europe, though! Who knows what they do, there: It's a diverse people-scape. Wishing strong practice to all, 365 new days, in order to exert within, and settle-in. :namaste: O', Days gone by... . New days, beckoning! Can't and won't resist. Happy New Cheer, --Joe...

Georgei.... I've seen cushions that have the shape that you created... Gomden/Shambala cushion... it consists of some firm foam and is as high as what you created. trying it out, I thought it was comfortable and doable. https://www.samadhicushions.com/gomden-meditation-cushion-p/c-500.htm I used to...

Crystal, you were perfectly clear in the OP. The guys just made an assumption, and we know what happens when we assume. Image

Looks like the latest 12 or 13 new "members" who have joined are actually promoting porn sites. They still appear in the cumulative member list. --Joe Yup, thanks! I deleted the new accounts and some more spam topics. We may need to change the registration procedure it seems. I still see these acco...

Re: Zazen, Noise, Sound, Silence

Agree. The practice is simple enough but not easy. No reason to make it more difficult for ourselves. And when I say a quiet room, I don't mean sound proofed. There are always sounds of one sort or another, like bird's chirping. Cement mixers are another matter entirely. :namaste: It seems to ...

No offense, but all this sounds like Zen gobbledygook to me. Image In the meantime, I'll just take's Dogen's advice and continue to sit in my very suitable quiet room. Image

Search "Zen Space Forum FB" :112:
Yes, thanks, I already found it. It'd still be helpful to just post the link because googling it only brings up the link to this forum, not FB. Even searching in FB you have to wade through a bunch of groups to get to the correct one.

I know I know.. facebook... open to other alternatives, but for now there is a Zen Space forum FB page ( that's what it's called).

Might be convenient for exchanges, especially when this place is down etc.

IMG_20160901_172047814.jpg Lovely and what a gorgeous cat. Is that a Maine Coon? She has a lot of coon in her. She was a stray, my friend found her eating on his compost in Idaho in the middle of no where on the high desert. He was attached to her but after time he couldn't keep her so he drove her...

very cool!
I've always liked the song but never knew it was a haiku until several years ago. It's been recorded by many of the greats.
