Re: Suggestion "This Forum in Particular"

Dear all, Continuously to be object to everything is sickness.Unfortunately it is my observation that it is a habit or a ritual practice here! Thanks for sharing your feelings, although you can only truly share your feelings and seek other people's understanding if you keep others out of it. (the b...

Re: The Full Moon

Since we're in the lounge now I don't mind answering.... do you have a girl friend? Plenty, but I figure you mean a sort of cultural monogamous romantic relationship? Then, no. may want to try to going to cinema Just happened to go to S&M 2 a few days ago (metallica) go to fishing As a vegan, I don'...

Re: The Full Moon

When a thread is put in the lounge it seems to be a clear signal that it is an 'anything goes' topic: not serious, not even necessarily anything to do with zen. Ah yes, zen is not excluded from the lounge indeed so gems might appear or not, in any case I think you agree when topics become more abou...

I think Fuki had wrote: "I want to add some words here about the actual practice of shikantaza – just sitting. Re: Zen Practice

To me, it requires effort. Effort is not necessary unless effort is needed, hence when effort is needed it appears. ironically we need a lot of effort before life-practise becomes effortless, spontaneous. True meditation or non-meditation is when there is no mind for practise, this is just being na...

Kind of funny sounding since Emptiness is the foundation of all your activities :cat:

Anyways there's no use talking/thinking about any of this, observation is of better service.

Re: Zen Practice

The trouble with that is that Emptiness is not a concept. It is not something to understand, but to embody. We are Emptiness, we just don't know it yet, or fully. Yet it is where concepts openly occur, the only 'difference' is they either belong to "samsara" or "nirvana" In any case I thought this ...

Re: Zen Practice

Yes, in the past you moved topics like this to the lounge where members started to post replies in a row without any interaction of other members, ...

Re: photographs you have made.

Q: During the meditation period one just sits and thinks of one’s presence. M: Not as an individual sitting, but the sense of presence without words. Meditate on that which knows you are sitting here. Your feeling that your body is here is identification with the body, but that which knows that this...
