This is a general question.

Dailylife

Is it Practice?

Is it a dream?

Is it awakening or reality?

Or is it a play ground?

Enver,

I think that, with correct practice, it will become more clear.

And then, with very good luck and good conditions, perhaps, it will suddenly become very clear.

This is the uniform experience of Zen Buddhist practitioners who stick with the practice, anyway. Wonderful, but nothing special, though.

(note, I'm not saying what daily-life IS [and won't say]; I'm saying that it can or will become more clear, as one practices)

best!,

Not to be confused with zazen, which is genuine zen practice for most earnest, humble students of the zen buddhist way.

Otherwise it just sounds like the equivalent of bs like Following White.

What distinguishes dailylife as a practice from daily life as it is?

There is no getting around zazen as bedrock "daily life" zen buddhist practice. Daily life as-it-is flows out of and is informed by zen practice, especially for beginners.

If you don't do zazen, don't bring that daily-life-as-practice *stuff* up in here. You are just making excuses for avoiding true practice, i.e., zazen.

-No

Modern people effort is like this
Merely entering the water is not sufficient to learn swimming.
Standing in a puddle is insufficient as is being submerged in bathtub.
Entering water of adequate depth and breadth is also insufficient if one is lacking the intention and determination to learn swimming.

learning to keep a little bit of breath awareness constantly in daily life
learning to notice what the mind does rather than simply react in daily life
learning to experience fully and not immediately filter through the narratives, the observer, etc in daily life
learning to give and not hold back in whatever we do in daily life

are four of my daily life practices
