Welcome Clyde as a Moderator at Zen Space

Post by Dan74 » Mon Jul 02, 2018 1:41 pm

I'd like to ask you to welcome Clyde, as a Mod.

I've worked with Clyde on ZFI when he was Ombudsperson, and couldn't have been more impressed by his dedication and his concern for fairness and transparency. So I trust he will speak out as clearly and fearlessly here as he did back there.

Thank you, Clyde for agreeing to help.

Your definition of transparency is not very transparent.

Anyway, welcome to the mod crew, Clyde! Or should we start calling it the mod majority? There may be more mods and admins than active members at this point.

Welcome Clyde!

Dan...haven't you got rather a lot of forum staff (7) for 109 members ?

Each of the Dharma Wheel and Dhamma Wheel forums has the same total of 7 Admins and Mods for 9,309 members and 12,862 members !

Perhaps the plan is for every member to eventually have their very own personal moderator. Talk about service! :105:

At the moment, Caodemarte is the only active moderator, with Meido and myself checking in rather occasionally...

"Now, what’s all this I keep hearing" about you Rockers knocking the Mods? Can’t you appreciate good Carnaby Street fashion? One too many side views for you? History will never catch up to repeat itself on this rider, or if it does, he will surely see it coming:

I know, a coat and tie on his ride. Brings out the moral panic in you, I bet. Sure, ain’t got nothin’ on your stovepipe trousers, Brando leathers and brothel creepers, right?

Really, a mod is just trying to keep a grip on what’s already passed by, and shine a light/sound a horn (or ten) on what potholed harm might be ahead.

(P.S. Foreshadowing: that’s Meido in a younger day. Jimmy (GG) played his fender in the house behind.)

P.P.S. Apologies to Emily Litella, “violins”
