If only I could share it:
The soft sound of snow
Falling late at night
From the trees
At this old temple.

--Hakuin

The sound of softly falling snow during zazen at night triggered insight into the koan, "A young girl's power of meditation surpasses that of the Buddha's wisest disciple."

A white swan
parts the cherry-petalled pond
with her motionless breast.

As much as I appreciate the haiku of the ancients, this sub-forum is for:

“Enlightenment means to see what harm you are involved in and to renounce it.” David Brazier, The New Buddhism

“The most straightforward advice on awakening enlightened mind is this: practice not causing harm to anyone—yourself or others—and every day, do what you can to be helpful.” Pema Chodron, “What to Do When the Going Gets Rough”

In the bay
where we used to play
we buried your ash
