A pretty young doe indeed Dan. :)

Yes it's called the "Amsterdamse waterleidingduinen" it's 3400 hectares from Zandvoort to Noordwijk,
it's the largest consecutive "hiking" area of the Netherlands, since 1853 it's a "Wasserschutzgebiet" for Amsterdam,
hence Amsterdam in the name. Too bad there is no German or English wiki reference but here's a little English info.
http://www.vvvzandvoort.com/amsterdamse ... ingduinen/

I have a card for 8 euros so you can walk from sunrise to sunset the whole year. Not too happy they call Zandvoort "Amsterdam beach"
but they did that so they can fool tourists into believing this is part of Amsterdam to spread them out, because tourists numbers are crazy for Amsterdam, but at least the drunk English hooligans in the summer only hang out on the beach and in the few bars in town and not the precious dunes.
Then again drunk Dutchies are a pest on vacation too ;)

Here's some rare footage of a black grosbeak from the Triassic period shot today!

I live right on top where it says Zandvoort, the entree point is a few minutes from my home.

Sorry Joe, the human animal isn't an interesting subject to me (perhaps an old man in Greece at a chessboard) but hardly see shot-worthy snaps relative to these eyes, I saw Meido's fotos of Poland today, all pictures of building and streets, 1 picture of a snail on a tree, I thanked him for the snail
Made 200 shots of bird closeups today and in 2 pictures there were tourists, thanks to the seagull :D

Just shot this Joe, our old friend the moon at 402504.8 km in Ophiuchus.

Nice moon!, and sepia-toned, at that. Looks about 4.5 billion years old!

Thanks Joe-Moon!

Another tourist just appeared on the tv after it danced around the christmas lights that surround me. After putting the cats in a seperate room "she" rested on the tv. took a few pictures but didn't want to bother it for too long with the flash. Grateful for the visit.

Still have to practise with the manual settings to get is sharper and closer, added the 2nd less sharp picture because of the cool reflection of its face.

Yes, that's the evolved version from the Triassic era, just as this Eurasian collared dove is an "evolved Larry" eventhough original larry has no origin

Marcel, we have those Collared Doves here in the desert too.

They began to appear only in about 1992 or 1994, as I recall. Somehow, they were brought here, and escaped their confinement, I suppose. They are spreading rapidly outdoors in southern Arizona.

So, I would not say that they are YOUR-Asian Collared Doves, but that they are now MY Asian Collared Doves. Oh, well. Not that we asked for them... .

ps I admire both moth pictures. The lower one with reflection of its face in the glass is "especially special". Thanks!! ;)

The moth reminds me a bit of the wing configuration of the YB-35B, or YB-47A. Northrup YB-47A jet aircraft depicted below:

I WISH I had made this photo, but that opportunity may not come until a future life.

Meanwhile, this is a photo I call, "My Next Car."

The two-seat supersonic jet trainer, T-38. Astronauts get one of these, to keep up their skills, and for their travel around the country from NASA center to NASA center (etc.).

Joe they are our doves without the 'our'.
ps reminds me of that 3000 deer will be shot here locally cutting back the population to a 1000, but somehow 17 million "humans" are not the/a problem, 70 poor cars got injured in a year, how sad! [/sarcasm]

Nice wing-association, I just had a vision of your next "car", let me see if I can conjure up an illusion after cleaning the catlitter box.
