Smoke plumes from wildfires in Arizona, and a few smaller ones in New Mexico, seen from the GOES weather satellite parked in circular geostationary orbit over the earth's equator at West Longitude 105 degrees, 22,236 miles above earth, or 35,786 kilometers.

(In Texas and Northern Mexico, those huge clouded areas are merged-thunderstorms, not fires, though a smoke plume from one fire in N. Mexico is rising above the thunderstorm clouds).

In the Pali Ādittapariyāya Sutta -- in Buddha's 'Fire Sermon' -- Buddha is given to say, "Bhikkhus, all is burning."

Thanks! And how nice to see my old "Rubik's" cartoon again. You really DO have an archive of things from "boards-gone-by"!

Kudos, Archivist-Activist!

To further cool our heels, this hot Summer, some of my favorite temples I've ever worshipped/practiced in. :)

Your "bygones" are often of timeless service expressed as time, just as your infinity is expressed as space. So I mainly use them to lure in (inspire) non-dharma folks here and there. All things of universal service seem to hang around ready for play. :D

Man, I hope that's right! I can use some play-help in patching my roof before the monsoon arrives in two weeks.

Dunno, but I'd like it if you two would recommend music to me while I do the work! I'll bring the Ale.

Yes!, he used a milkweed seed-head in the first episode of his "Cosmos" series, didn't he.
