Hello from Madrid, Spain

Post by Pablo » Wed Aug 15, 2018 4:49 am

Hey everyone!

My name is Pablo. I'm 30 years old, have recently married and work as a scientist in Madrid, Spain.

I've been sitting for around 12 years, first in the Thai Theravadin tradition, and then in Zen. I study with Jeff Shore, who some folks around here seem to know as well. Cool guy :)

I also host a small zazen group in Madrid. The website, in Spanish, for those who are interested: pandazen.es

I've been visiting this forum and ZFI often for the last year or so, but didn't intend to join. Today, I was reading Meido's book (which is very good as an introduction to Zen, nice job!) and suddenly thought about joining. Let's see how it goes :D

Welcome, Pablo!!

If you'd like to share something about your practice, or how it interacts with life, or anything else Zen related, sometimes we do have good exchanges here!

In any case, hope you find something useful for you and all the best with your practice.

Welcome Pablo, nice of you to join. Meido's book was a joy (and functional) to read.
Really like the site you made!

Dear Dan,

Thanks for the welcome :) Zen forums are tricky, because many times conversations descend into pure, unhelpful blabber, which is then touted as "pure Zen" or something like that (if any of you have visited the Reddit forum dedicated to Zen, you know what I mean). I hope to contribute something of value, and shut up if I can't :P

Hey Viktor :)

Next week I'll be attending to the one in Belgium. I usually go there, but I've also gone to the ones in the UK and Munich. Haven't been to Hungary yet, though.
