Here's a "picture" that's not stationary, but "moving" (in a "persistence-of-vision" kind of way).

I've posted this trailer before in earlier incarnations of this board, or even before that, but here it is, for the new den-i-zens, here.

This movie shows, overall, I'd say, the fact that Nature sometimes is the best agent to help, when sometimes Humans get in the way of helping each other, and the Humans prevent help from being dispensed.

Patience may be needed for Nature to help, first, to allow all the Human efforts to fizzle and fall to the ground. Then, "the rain may fall". ;-)

(that's my take on the message of this fun, wise, serious, and funny movie; good use of diverse music, too!).

If you like this sample (trailer), the entire movie itself is also on YouTube for "free-of-charge" viewing.

I have the DVD, and can recommend buying it because there are great interviews of the actors in the Extra material on the DVD (and BluRay), and a really wonderful interview with the Director, a Spanish fellow. You will not find those elsewhere.

This is the 2015 Independent film "A Perfect Day", in miniature ( ~ 1 1/2 min.). :) -J.

Yeshe Tsogyal’s Song to the Demons

Emaho!
The intention of Great Mother Dharmakaya,
The heart of the ten perfections
Is enjoyment of profound wisdom.
By genuinely ending up here,
There’s no one to see appearances.
All arising is dharmakaya’s play.
Illusions are the Lama’s compassion.
So go ahead and stir things up!
Image

Emaho!
The intention of Lama Kunzang,
The heart of deity-yoga’s result
Is non-fabrication in whatever arises.
By genuinely ending up here,
There’s no one to be afraid of thought.
Whatever happens is mental projection.
Thoughts are the Lama’s compassion.
So go ahead and stir things up!
Image

Emaho!
The intention of Lama Pema,
The heart of all-embracing Ati
Is enjoyment of your stainless mind.
By genuinely ending up here,
There is no one to perceive impurity.
Stains are all dharmata’s play.
All ways of seeing are the Lama’s compassion.
So go ahead and stir things up!
Image

Emaho!
The practice of the woman Tsogyal,
The heart of secret mantra,
Is the single taste of joy and sorrow.
Since genuinely ending up here,
No one to parse what’s good and what’s bad.
They both just enhance experience.
Whatever appears is the Lama’s compassion.
So go ahead and stir things up!
Emaho!

from my dear brother, Bob.

Five Aggregates of Agapanthus

"The Buddha taught many times in the Mahayana sutras that the five aggregates (Form, Consciousness, Sensory Feelings, Acts of Intent, Conceptualization) and the suffering that goes along with them, are of the nature of original and perfect purity. There is not the tiniest bit of impurity anywhere within them that needs to be abandoned. Therefore, Mahayana practitioners do not want to be rid of their samsaric existence, but rather they aspire to take birth in samsara in as many bodies, in as many lifetimes as possible to be of benefit to sentient beings."

~Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche,
(From The Sun of Wisdom, translated by Ari Goldfield)

Whatever realm I appear within, may I be of benefit to all sentient beings.

Yes, checked today and saw some wild orchids, not many and they mostly were on green non-flower bushes
but I guess it's the right species, thanks.

[SPOILER]
Yesterday (third of July) celebrated Mom's 15 years of Sobriety.
(parts of it may be photoshopped)
Don’t try to look outside yourself. There is no separate self, there are only the five skandhas: form, feelings, perceptions, mental formations, and conciousness. All our suffering is based in this idea of a separate self.

[SPOILER]

I hold the Lion’s Paw
Whenever I dance.
I know the ecstasy of the falcon’s wings
When they make love against the sky,
And the sun and moon
sometimes argue over
who will tuck me in at night.
If you think I am having more fun
Than anyone on this planet
You are absolutely correct.
But Hafiz
Is willing to share all his secrets
About how to befriend God.
Indeed, dear ones,
Hafiz is so very willing
To share all his secrets
About how to know the
Beautiful
One.
I hold the Lion’s Paw whenever I dance.
~Hafiz
