Individually wrapped in a "single box"- Otherwise they'd arrive all sorts of enmeshed and gooey -- depending on the weather-

They're also sold in single packages of 2-

Both can be shared-

Also, if not cocooned, they'd go stale- Which isn't terrible- Like Peeps are amazing stale-

Do either have to be had to prevent impending peril? Nope-

It's just one globe, even when seeing double.. Or triple .. Depending on preferences ..

Yep- Got my uninsured car impounded at 3AM because I had a craving-

Long ago and far away ..
At 3 AM, should have been sleeping in bed.
Being up at 3 AM, having cravings??
Is something bothering you??
Is there anything you want to talk about??

Car impounded .. means fees for impound lot, state DMV, insurance, and whatever fee they choose to add on ... expensive
Did you get your cravings satisfied??
I appreciate your concern-

I did get Ho Ho's- But forfeited the car-

A neighbor recently asked another why I sit outside and gaze, often appearing to be looking in one direction for extended periods-

Ho Ho's seemed innocent enough at the time- In hindsight, I don't know- I'm here at the moment- What would my life be like now if I didn't go out for a drive to buy them?

Sorry, it none of my business.
Just wanted you to be okay.

Hindsight, foresight, ... Can't beat ourselves up what is already done, no blame
Did you enjoy the Ho Ho's?
That is what is important at this moment

You can get another car when the time is right??
Too many bugs in my neighborhood to sit outside.
No screened porch. So, I stay inside and sweat in the heat. (Summer here, New York State)

Why do you sit outside and gaze?

I am mostly outside during the spring/summer/autumn, farm work of varied sorts, and standing at my work gazing is something I do frequently. I say, to myself and to whoever might have noticed and commented, that I am resting. It is more than resting the body. A neighbor immediately got it and declared “he’s contemplating”. I see it as simply being where and as I am at that moment ... tired, sweaty, cold, content or miserable, seeing something new or familiar etc. Taking a moment or two to appreciate and ponder.

I appreciate your concern -

The event occurred many years ago, about 2 decades- Cars came and went since- Everything is always changing ..

Ohio- Very hot, slightly cooler outside - The house is stone, it absorbs all that warmth and takes hours to cool- It's old- Not a complaint, it just is- I was supposed to move, but the pandemic has altered those plans, because the inventory is low and gets sold quickly- Another it just is- 😊 Bugs are inside and out- Its wooded/sort of rural- Bugs come with it- 😊

My practice was disturbed by events that has happened lately.
No concentration. Mind wandering.
Thoughts just take me away to another place and time in my life when I was happier.
Just another ... thing

It's one of my earliest memories, sitting and observing- Nature- The world-

I stop to look at what I'm working on, depending on the task- Or to try to figure out what a particular scent might be, what's in bloom- Always love driving down a long stretch of road and watching the shadows that the clouds cast and then driving from shadow to sunlight over and over-

Not much work this summer .. 😊 .. I've managed to let the grass grow, watch it turn to seed and the birds eat it .. appreciating the surprise wildflowers and the weeds ..

Such disturbances for me dont manifest as thoughts or wandering mind but its more an uprooting of energies stored in the body, they then can be accompanied by visions, let's say a childhood memory or any event which only are then representated through visions but the energy is there prior to your thoughts or memories, such disturbances are actually joyous or contentful for it only shows we have stuff to work through, so disturbances are more opportunities and signs of "progress" then something to be seen as something negative or as a disturbance.

Perhaps look into other methods such as loving kindness/tonglen practise or more relaxation of the body then only sticking to one method or practise (zazen etc) to "tap into" the body more and can only make zazen more embodied/functional when doing other types of meditation also. Just a general observation/sharing, not giving advice or something.

It isn't that I wish my meditation was better.
It is just noted that something changed
A bump becomes a ripple
A ripple becomes a wave
A wave becomes a tsunami
And as the old ones say, if you weren't doing it right then stuff like this wouldn't happen
Well, that is just said to pacify the mind and let go of thoughts and continue on the journey

Energies, images, visions, sights and sounds ... just more stuff to work through
Oh,it is raining. The heat broke finally. Good, makes for a wonderful sleep.

It makes me curious to think what makes one event joyful versus a sad moment??
When my mother passed away, I wasn't joyous.
When my daughter was born, I was happy.
Is it loss or gain that makes one feel something?

Losing the car but getting the Ho Ho's??
Happy or sad?? Both??

I wanted to feel something but don't really know why.
So, last night while meditating, I opened up my heart to feel good, happy
I got a smile on my face which no one can see
But, I do not know if I prefer the calm over the feeling good??
Don't the wise men say,"This too shall pass"???

Usually, when children loose teeth they're happy-
When they learn that the man fairy doesn't collect their teeth to use as teenie bricks to build castles with spiral turrets, they're sad-

Stories stick, then slip-

After days of oppressive heat and poor air quality it began to rain- I grabbed a chair and cleaned out one of the gutters during a downpour- When I went to walk my sneakers made that wet sneaker noise, just like they did after stepping out of the creek when I was a kid-

Pure joy- Until I recalled getting in trouble for not staying out of the creek- Suddenly, I was back at the window listening to the trains, the factories and gazing at trees-

Sleep well-

Woke up early today to go to the bathroom
After that, tried to go back to sleep, could not.
So, decided to sit quietly
Seating, posture and breathing are all important
Took almost no time to quiet the mind
A moment later and a thought pops up.
It carries me through some steps
Attention snaps out of the thought
Then back to watching breath in and out
I don't notice the time passing
Birds are now making a huge concert of white noise
Some patterns repeat and other do not
Soon the noise begins to quiet down
But, now the thoughts are running faster
Time to get up. Thirty minutes.
Now, I feel sleepy. But, it is time to get up.
And so the day begins.

Note: Sorry, nothing exciting here

There's a considerable amount of stuff to take notice of when considering responsibilities- Don't miss the grace with which you're moving through it, mindful of the inter-connective thread-

It's ok to think shit stick-

Sorry, did not see this post before.
Hmm, before bed, I sit and note the time.
And when I get up to go to bed, I note the time.
Usually thirty minutes at night and in the morning.
There have been times when I did not want to stop.
Thinking, it was too short a time.
Those turned out to be about an hour which surprised me that I could sit that long
Or, maybe I was wrong about the time I started??
On some nights when I have to get up in the middle of the night to go pee,
I can't go back to sleep and so I sit.
Bad posture and difficulty breathing certainly does affect the quality of the sitting.
