Long Wait

Post by enso-tron » Fri Jul 20, 2018 4:23 am

Hi there!

I applied to join this forum on Tue Apr 03, 2018, but was only approved today Fri Jul 20, 2018!

The wait was soo long that I had genuinely forgotten all about it - I am glad I am approved now, but this long wait has not filled me with confidence and could possibly put off new members.

How can I ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else?

Hi Enso, welcome to the forum and really sorry tgis happened to you.

To be honest, I am not sure - I had thought that back then approvals should've been automatic but maybe the Tech admin can shed some light on it.

In any case, glad you are here and hope you find this forum to be of value to you.

Hi enso-tron,

Sorry for the wait. It takes a while to do an extensive background check. The good news is, you checked out! That incident you were involved in a few years ago had some of us a bit concerned but I was rooting for you. :hatsoff:

Hi enso,

That's quite strange...

The approval of new users was only implemented on May 21st, after a spambot figured out our registration question. Your registration was never subject to approval, as it was more than a month before that.

Did you get an email today of your admission?

Anyway, welcome! :558:

Was that in the ACP, or did you get a notification like with other new users that need activation?

Did he show up in the inactive users section? If so, that would explain the confusion, as he hadn't posted since registering.
