Objects & Things; vs. Events & Happenings

Post by desert_woodworker » Tue Jun 05, 2018 3:32 am

People may think that Physics deals with THINGS, hard objects. Well, Quantum Theory, almost one hundred years ago, came to call that into question.

Conferences are still being held, about how to interpret the success of Quantum Theory (and Experiment), and how its successes may infer needed changes to our everyday thought and intuition.

It seems that "Happenings", or "Events" may be more fundamental.

"Things" stay together only for a time ("All things are Impermanent").

Here are some informal interviews with Physicists speaking frankly at a recent conference, themed and titled, "The Physics of What Happens", held in Banff, Alberta, Canada.

Indeed, there are no awakened people, but only awakened ...ACTIONS! ;) But let's not get far ahead of ourselves, and see what these major workers in Physics have to admit about what they take to be the case.

The interviews are 8 or 10 minutes or so, with each Physicist. Lots of variety here, and lots of commonality.
