That said, I am still not sure what makes a good vibrant Zen forum. My guess is that it needs a critical mass of Zen people of substance who while being primarily focused on Zen, are relaxed, welcoming and don't take too much oxygen. They also need to have the time to post regularly and maintain an ongoing dynamic.
You basically just described Jundo there. (in my view)

Anyways we can also be grateful for what we have 24/7, instead of focussing what is not here (depending on one's view)

Yeah well, not in mine, but let's not drag Jundo into this.

Didn't drag "Jundo" into this, just an example that views and experience vary, too much wanting to format/confirm a forum a particular style in my opinion mostly has a counterproductive effect. Reminds me of what I just read on wiki concerning "Conscientiousness" was a new word to me thanks to Mason, just different types of folks/vision/behaviour on a forum, let them be (to a certain degree)

I'd like to compose kind of a letter of apology. But, honestly, I am not sure what to say, and where to start.
:113:

I would like to apologise too. I would be quite happy to moderate any teachers by not moderating them (service with a smile) but moderating myself by banning my posts, which are totally unhelpful to some. Unlike the excellent moderators and ex-zennith priests who have been x-communicated ... :114:

Therefore I fully accept your apology and hope we can do better ... but not count on it ... :556: :558: :555:

Perhaps its not a bad thing that Fuki has respectfully mentioned Jundo again .... because sometimes our imaginary demons can be revealed as being great friends.

Crystal, Jundo is no demon to me. Far from it.

Its our inner demons that can sometimes be the problem, Dan.

Not sure what is being apologized about, El G!

Things change and nothing is permanent. This was a bit of an "out of left field" move for me, as well. Who knows where it will go. But Clyde is a sensible man, and I am sure he will evaluate things as they go along. In the end, unless I am mistaken, the only teachers to contribute here at all were Meido and Guo Go, and very little at that. So, the net is that there won't be a whole lot of change. What remains to be seen is if the conversations take on any different character, in the absence of those two teachers. Time will tell.

Thank you, El G, for everything you have done and continue to do.
